Update

It’s been a little while since I have blogged. I have been in a “season” as John likes to call them. A busy season with lots of celebration, lots of joy, lots of fun, but at the same time lots of challenges, lots of stress, lots of decisions, and lots of praying and thinking.
God is doing a work in me even now as I am enjoying a day at home with the boys. Last week we had Mason’s birthday, our Anniversary, and then Friday I turned the BIG 35 years old.
One of the highlights of the week was that Jennifer totally got me with a surprise Birthday party at Famous Dave’s. It is really hard to pull any surprises over on me but she totally did it. And it was a good one. There were 21 people that came out for BBQ and celebration that night. It really, really, made me feel loved and appreciated.

Saturday morning Jennifer and I headed down to beautiful, but cold and rainy Avalon Beach for a one night get away. Jennifer’s mom and dad watched the boys and we got to go away. It was much needed although one day was way, way to short. While there we walked on the boardwalk, had a great dinner at one of our favorite restaurants on the beach in Sea Isle City. We also managed to eat at our favorite breakfast place too…Uncle Bills Pancakes. Our favorite one is the one in Sea Isle but the one in Ocean City did just fine since our is closed for the winter.

I think one of the things that God is really challenging me in right now is trusting him. It seems like He is always working on me in that area. But now more than ever it seems, I am seeking His face and and trying to trust Him. I pray you are too.
