I don’t know if I have ever been more disgusted at the radio as I was this morning on my way into the office.  I was listening to one of the sports stations talking about the World Series when all of the sudden a commercial came on that blew my mind

The commercial began by asking, “Are you in a committed relationship but just aren’t getting what you need?”  It went on to advertise a new “online community” where you can meet other people who are in committed relationships that just aren’t satisfied.  The commercial was encouraging people to go online, join their community and have an affair secretly.  Then it gave their name again with this tag, “where an affair is our guarantee”.

I couldn’t believe what I had just heard.  This is on our public airwaves for everyone to hear?  Does anyone have a problem with this?  A few years ago even non-Christ-followers would have had major issues with that advertisement.  What in the world is happening?  What is going on?

This week we begin a new series that will tackle these uncertain times.  I am axious for God to speak truth into people’s lives over the next few weeks.  What a timely series!

Lately I have been thinking and praying about ways that I can elevate my life.  Jenn and I have already pulled the trigger in a big way to elevate our children.  After much prayer Jenn has gone back to school in order to do medical transcription from home.  Currently she is a cardiac-sonographer so she is very familiar with medical terms etc.  This will help her to get through the courses faster and get her home within the next year.  That was a huge step we took to elevate our family.

Now I need to Elevate something in my own personal life.  My physcal health and well being. So I am going to work my butt off to take the weight off!  I have started a work out plan as of today.  So keep me in your prayers.
