Family time

This weekend has been such a great time for our family.  We haven’t really done anything out of the ordinary but we just have a lot of fun together.  Things we did -

  • Mason and I made his boat for the elevate regada.  I think I did great for my first father model build.
  • I got to babysit the boys Saturday morning while Jenn was at work.  Mason and I cleaned the house for mommy and put the finishing touches on his boat.
  • I got to watch the veggie tales movie “Jonah”.  I think I liked it more than Mason.
  • I got to spend time bonding with our baby Hudson.  The dude is growing like a weed and is starting to look more and more like his daddy every day, (he is a chub).
  • The four of us had an outing at target tonight.  We got Mason some new jeans & a shirt or two.  Daddy also got a pair of jeans….target….who knew?
  • We went out to Ruby’s dinner (a family favorite).  Mason loves the trains that run above us while we eat.  Mommy loves the shakes.  Okay daddy does too although I did not get one tonight.  I am currently on a health kick.  Well, actually until Elevate tomorrow when we down a bunch of BBQ pulled pork.
  • Mason and I played football.  He is so funny.  He will pick up the ball and start running and will say “Try to tackle me daddy”.  And I do.  He can catch a regular size football from about 10 feet away.

God, thank you for my incredible family!  I am blown away at your goodness and your mercy!  Thanks for my two boys and my incredible wife.  You truly are the giver of good gifts!

Gearing up

I am sitting in my office here at the church preparing myself for what I think will be an intimate time of worship as we do communion with the worship team at tonights rehearsal.  This is the first time we have ever done this and I am so excited to serve my team in this way.

Sunday is a huge day at Fellowhship Church.  It is our Celebration Sunday.  We are celebrating the fact that God is elevating our walks and the way we do ministry.  I hope that you will invite a couple friends to join us for a great time of worship, hearing from God, and eating lots of BBQ!  Is there a better combination for a days events?  No!

Busy times

This morning as I was dropping off Hudson at Dot Miller’s house she mentioned that I haven’t written in a while.  I shrugged and said it’s been a couple weeks and that I have just been very busy.  She showed me my blog and I was shocked that it has been since August 15th, almost a full month.  So I apologize to all of you for slacking off a bit with my blogging.

Here is a quick update.  Hudson has not started being watched by Aunt Dot (Dot Miller).  She watched Mason when he was Hudson’s age and we are absolutely thrilled to have him out of the day care and into Jim & Dot’s house.  What a big difference.  We love the Millers and they are our extended family here.

That does make my morning a little bit more hectic and stressful.  I wake up and get Mason ready for school and make a quick breakfast for him.  While he is eating I go wake Hudson up and get him ready to go to Dot’s house.  Then we all load up into the car and we go to Mason’s pre-school.  When we get to his school I have to unbuckle both boys and carry Hudson into the school so that he is not left in the car.  We leave Mason at school hopefully with no problems.  Sometimes he holds on to my leg and won’t let me leave.  Still breaks my heart when that happens.

Then back to the car with Hudson.  I get him all buckled into his car seat and then we drive through Dunkin Donuts for my morning Ice Latte.  Then we head to Dot’s house where I drop off Hudson.  Then it is off towards the church for the day.

Today was actually a good morning.  I love that I get to spend time with my boys every morning.  How cool is it that I have two boys.  I was totally floored when we found out our first was a boy, now to have two boys…AWESOME!!  I could use one more so we can go two on two on the basketball court. We’ll see.

We had a great summer although it was over before it seemed to start.  I guess it’s always like that. There is never enough summer time.

Personally as well as a staff member here at Fellowship Church I am excited about ELEVATE our growth campaign.  God has already begun to do some amazing things in people’s lives.  Be praying that God will elevate your walk as we head into this fall.  There is no better place to be than right here in the Delaware Valley!

I will try to keep in touch!
